Challenge Fund

The new Community Empowerment and Regeneration Challenge Fund 2016/17 is now open for applications.

The Fund has been created to encourage the delivery, by our communities, of proactive initiatives/projects which will boost community empowerment and regeneration in our priority areas. Applications are invited from all community based organisations in the areas below and from other Stirling Council areas that can evidence a particular regeneration need and are not currently within our test site programme (see Assessment Criteria).

  • Cornton
  • Cultenhove
  • Fallin
  • Hillpark
  • Plean
  • Raploch

Access to the Fund is a competitive process and we anticipate the Challenge Fund will support innovative projects which promote social justice, tackle local disadvantage and inequalities, build capacity and deliver community regeneration.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 26th September 2016 but for those interested in applying, a 'Meet the Funders' event will be held on Tuesday 16th August between 2.30pm and 5.30pm in the Wallace Room, Old Viewforth, Stirling, where groups can obtain more information and discuss their proposals.
