Polling places consultation

Stirling Council has reviewed the *Polling Districts and **Polling Places used for elections.

We valued your opinion and local knowledge on whether the current Polling Places are suitable venues or whether there are more appropriate alternatives that the Council should consider.

Online Survey

The initial consultation period ended on Thursday, 28 March 2013. Survey results were be made available to the public. Following this initial consultation period a document was produced setting out any proposed changes to the Polling Districts and Polling Places.  Comments and suggestions were then be invited on any aspect of the proposals.  The proposed new Polling District and Polling Places and details of all comments received were then submitted to the Council for consideration.


Ward 1 - Trossachs and Teith

Ward 2 - Forth and Endrick

Ward 3 - Dunblane and Bridge of Allan

Ward 4 - Castle

Ward 5 - Stirling West

Ward 6 - Stirling East

Ward 7 - Bannockburn


*  A Polling District is the area created by the division of a Ward into smaller parts, so that electors can be allocated to a building where they can vote.

** A Polling Place is the building within which voting is carried out.
