The Communications Team is responsible for ensuring that all our stakeholders are informed about and engaged with the Council’s work and vision, and that Stirling is promoted and marketed as a fantastic place to live, work, learn and visit. We use a wide range of communications resources to achieve this including:
Stirling Council News:
Our innovative digital news bulletin was launched in March 2016 as a new addition to our Communications toolbox. It is developed, filmed and edited in-house by the Comms team. You can view the archive on our YouTube channel.
Stirling Council has very active social media feeds that play an increasingly important communications role, both as a means of getting in touch with us, and letting you know what is going on in the Council and the Stirling area. You can access our feeds here:
We have recently published a new edition of Stirling, the Council magazine for residents (Autumn 2016). The last issue appeared in 2012 and the latest version was produced to ensure that everybody, whether they are digitally connected or not, has up to date information about Stirling Council’s major recent and upcoming projects. The magazine was developed, written and edited in-house, and printed and delivered to every household in the Stirling area at a cost of £14,800. You can access the digital version here.
We are increasingly using video as a dynamic and cost-effective way of showing the huge range of work that the Council undertakes. All our communication videos are filmed, edited and produced in-house by the Comms Team.
We produce an Annual report each year with all the facts and stats about the work of the Council. Our most recent 2014/15 report includes more digital elements to present the Council's vision of Stirling in an accessible way. You can download or view the 2014/15 report.
We have an extensive range of media contacts and produce over 300 press releases a year. We also deal directly with many media enquiries each week, producing statements to support Council initiatives and inform the public. We maximise any local, national and international print and broadcast opportunities, working with journalists to promote Stirling and the Council.
We are always looking for ways to improve our communications and we value your views and feedback. You can always reach us at via email.
