Planning & Prioritising
Details of the Council's main strategic planning documents and strategic priorities.
Single Outcome Agreement and Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIP)
With our community planning partners, Stirling Council is committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for everyone who lives, works and visits the Stirling area. We have previously done this through the priorities set by the Council and our community planning partners in our Single Outcome Agreement (SOA) 2013-23.
The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act received Royal Assent in 2015 which introduced a requirement to replace our Single Outcome Agreement with a Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIP).
The Local Outcome Improvement Plan sets out a clear and ambitious vision for the Stirling area. We also identify smaller areas which experience the poorest outcomes and prepare and publish locality plans to improve these communities.
Stirling Council Business Plan
The Council is committed to improving the lives of everyone who lives, works and visits the Stirling Council area through its 6 key priorities. The Business Plan is reviewed annually and progress on the delivery of the key priorities is reported to Council or relevant Committee and is a key part of the Council's public performance reporting.
Priority Based Budgeting
Priority Based Budgeting (PBB) is in response to the need to engage with communities when looking at transformational options to re-shape the provision of Council services. More information on PBB is available here.
