Council - general information

Stirling Council provides hundreds of services to people living in the area, from keeping the pavements clean and managing parking, to running schools and providing homes for council tenants. The Council's aim is to provide the best service possible to Stirling residents - our customer service motto is 'Get it right first time'.

There are 22 elected members of Stirling Council, which has a minority SNP Administration.  Council Leader is Cllr Graham Houston and Provost is Cllr Fergus Wood.

Chief Executive Bob Jack leads the Corporate Management Team, supported by three Assistant Chief Executives and nine Heads of Service.   

Stirling Council works closely with Central Scotland Police, Central Scotland Fire and Rescue, NHS Forth Valley and other partners.
