Register to Vote

When you change address you need to notify the Electoral Registration Officer as soon as possible so you can vote in any election. Not being registered can also affect your credit rating.

  • You can apply to be added to the Register of Electors at any time during the year. The Register is normally updated once a month between December and 1 September.

  • When an election is announced, the last possible date for applying to register is 11 working days before polling day.

  • Only electors whose names are included in the Register valid for an election can vote in that election.  

Collect your application form from libraries, or The Electoral Registration Office, Hillside House, Laurelhill, Stirling FK7 9JQ.
