Roads Improvement & Development Consultations

Consultation for schemes currently being considered for future works

Two of the key service objectives for the Roads Improvement & Development team are to

  • Design and implement roads, transport, public realm and environmental related infrastructure projects" and to
  • "Identify, assess and monitor road safety priorities and recommend measures to reduce the number and severity of accidents" 

As part of our works to meet these objectives, staff within the Roads Improvement & Development area regularly consult with affected residents and traders before making any alterations to the road network. Consultation on future proposals can include schemes such as traffic calming on residential streets, road safety improvements to the existing network, public realm streetscape enhancements, or any proposals for new road links.
