Ballot Result

The results of the ballot to establish a Business Improvement District in Dunblane have been announced.

They are as follows:

Number of votes cast 63    
Aggregate rateable value of each relevant property in respect of which a person voted in the ballot £1,910,500    
Number in favour:  47    
Number against:  16    
Aggregate rateable value of each relevant property in respect of which a person voting in the ballot has voted in favour of the proposed Dunblane Business Improvement District  £1,790,200    
Aggregate rateable value of each relevant property in respect of which a person voting in the ballot has voted against the proposed Dunblane Business Improvement District  £120,300    

The % turnout was 61% (spoilt 0%))

Therefore, the proposal to establish a Business Improvement District in Dunblane has been approved.  A majority of the Business ratepayers in the proposed BID area who voted, voted in favour of the proposal, both by aggregate rateable value and numbers voting.

The total number of ballot papers rejected was as follows:

0 Unsigned, unmarked or void for uncertainty

The ballot was run independently by Stirling Council Elections Office.
