Rural Stirling Business Space Study (2011)
Stirling Council conducted the study in association with the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park with the purpose of gaining a better understanding of demand for business space in Stirling's rural area.


Business Panel Survey Report (2011) Stirling's Business Panel represents over 700 local businesses. A report providing results from the 2010 Annual Business Panel Survey is now available.


Stirling City Centre Health Check (2008) - The Stirling City Centre Health Check was conducted by DTZ and provides baseline information, which is used to assess the vitality and viability of the city centre. The economic, environmental and social health of the city is measured using aseries of key performance indicators (KPIs) set out in Scottish Planning Policy 8: Town Centres and Retailing.   For more information about the Stirling City Centre Health Check, please contact Andy Kennedy on 01786 442534.

The Stirling Economic Positioning Study (2008) analyses Stirling's key sectors and potential to collaborate with surrounding areas to maximise economic opportunities in the Stirling Council area.  The study was conducted by the Training & Employment Research Unit, University of Glasgow.

Environmental Sector Baseline and Mapping (2007) - This study involved a baseline and sector mapping of environmental organisations in the Stirling Council area.  The study was conducted by Fraser Associates.

City of Stirling Visitor Survey 20010-2011 Key to success and growth in the tourism industry is reliable intelligence on visitors leading to a detailed understanding of our visitor market. In 2007 Stirling Council commissioned Lynn Jones Research to generate a profile of visitors assessing visitor activity and obtaining information on visitor perceptions.  The results of the most recent visitor survey have been published (Aug10 - July 2011). The survey involved a year-round collection of visitor email addresses at sample points around the City.
