Free School Meals

The closing date for processing Clothing Grant applications for next School Session is the preceding 31 March.

You may be entitled to free school meals if you receive:

  • Income support
  • Income based job seekers allowance
  • Income related element of employment and Support allowance
  • Child Tax credit but not Working Tax Credit (Income should not exceed £16,105)
  • Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit (Income should not exceed £6420)
  • Support under Part V1 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Universal Credit

School Clothing Grants

The closing date for processing Clothing Grant applications for the next School Session is the preceding 31 March.

Eligibility

Grants are available for any child who will attend a Stirling Council school and whose parent(s) receive:

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Income related element of employment and Support allowance
  • Working Tax Credit (Income should not exceed £16105)
  • Council Tax or Housing Benefit
  • Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit (Income should not exceed £6420)

Education Maintenance Allowance

The closing date for processing application forms for the next School Session is the preceding 31 March.

Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) is an allowance worth up to £30 per week for eligible students who are planning to continue in full-time post-compulsory education. The allowance is payable fortnightly in arrears during term time. Payments will be made direct to the student’s account.
