Crianlarich Primary School serves the communities of Crianlarich, Tyndrum and includes provision for pupils in the Bridge of Orchy catchment area. The drive from Stirling takes just over an hour in good weather, but the scenery gets better and better taking in Rob Roy country, Glen Ogle and finally the run from Lix Toll, which is through some of the finest scenery in Scotland; quite breathtaking.

The present school, which is less than thirty years old, is in the centre of the village and comprises two classrooms and a multi-purpose area, which serves as classroom, computer suite and dining room. Lunches are cooked in the school kitchen, which is off the dining room. The school grounds have been enhanced in recent years with specific areas set aside to encourage wildlife and environmental education as well as to increase play opportunities for both the school children and the nursery, which is adjacent in the former school house.
