About us

Riverside Primary School was built in 1926 and is housed within two buildings on Forrest Road. At the moment, the single storey building houses the nursery, one Gaelic Medium class and Primaries One and Two and our music room. The double-storey building houses Primaries Three to Seven, two Gaelic Medium classes, the Autism Provision and the administrative block to the school.

We also have an art room, a gym, library, well-equipped resources rooms, and a computer room. There is also a family room, an outdoor theatre and learning space in the playground where classes are able to take part in active learning.

We have recently built a new learning area in the school where classes can join together to learn collaboratively. This area is also used by Riverside Out of School Care (ROSC) on a daily basis before and after school starts.
