Along with our sister school, Callander Primary School, we have an informal school motto of “Hungry for learning and raising the bar!” This encapsulates our passion for developing enthusiastic life long learners who set high expectations for themselves and others.
Security door systems are in place governing access to the building. We operate a system of signing in and out. This can sometimes be time-consuming and tedious for regular visitors/parent helpers, but our parents/carers and the wider community support these measures for our children’s security.
The school comprises of a large classroom with two distinct learning zones. Children have access to two interactive whiteboards and five computers to support their learning. Our outdoor facilities include a tarmacked playground as well as a grassed play area and nature zone. We have also created a pond and an outdoor classroom which are used as part of our commitment to outdoor learning. The children have a large container filled with outdoor equipment which is accessed at break and lunchtimes.
Each school has it own geographic area called a catchment area. Normally, your child will attend your local catchment school. If you wish your child to attend a school other than the catchment school you are required to make a placing request. View our catchment area.
Education Scotland has responsibility for evaluating the quality of pre-school education, all schools, teacher education, community learning and development, further education and local authorities. They also publish reports about services for children and evaluate child protection services. View our latest inspection report.
