Requesting pupil records
Making a request...
A request can be made in writing, or some other form capable of being referred to again (such as email, audio or video).
We need certain details from you:
- your name and address
- a description of the records you want access to.
Hand your request to your child's school, or forward to Schools, Learning and Education, Municipal Buildings, 8-10 Corn Exchange Road, Stirling FK8 2HU.
What will happen when we receive your request...
We can only provide access to appropriate people, so we need your name and address to confirm the identity of the person making the request, and to make sure we can locate information relevant to your request.
We will assemble the records, decide if any exemptions apply, and arrange for access to the records.
We must do this within 15 school days from the date we receive your request.
Rectification and erasure of inaccurate information...
If you believe the content to be inaccurate in any respect contact the school and state why you believe the information in the educational records to be inaccurate and what action you want the school to take.
How to appeal...
If you are unhappy with the way your request has been handled you should contact Schools, Learning and Education, Municipal Buildings, 8-10 Corn Exchange Road, Stirling FK8 2HU.
