Placing requests - what happens after a placing request is refused

If a placing request is refused the application is not held on a waiting list. A placing request within two months is either accepted or rejected.

Several choices are available at this stage. It is possible to:

  • confirm attendance at your catchment school
  • submit a placing request for another school
  • submit another placing request for the same school
  • lodge an appeal against the refusal of the placing request
