Secondary schools

There are 7 secondary schools in the area. The pupil roll for all 7 schools is 5916 (as at September 2012).

Four of these schools are new PPP (Public Private Partnership) secondary schools:

  • Dunblane
  • Stirling
  • Wallace
  • St Modans

Bannockburn and McLaren High Schools have also had major refurbishment.

The new schools follow the success of the Balfron High School PFI (Private Finance Initiative) project.
