About us
The High School of Stirling, which is one of Scotland's oldest schools, has been situated at its present Torbrex Farm Road location since February 2008, having moved from its old site in the 'old school' as it is now known that now lies 'across the way' ready to be demolished.
Much of the best of the past has been retained. Prefects, for example, are still appointed from the senior school, just as they were centuries ago, and this position of trust and responsibility is highly regarded by potential employers.
However, despite being justly proud of its thousand-year-old traditions, history and rich heritage, the school is firmly focused on the present-and future. Pupils are just as likely to be found using the schools digital video cameras and scanners to digitise graphic material, as exploring the past. The school boasts modern science laboratories, sports and engineering workshops and a whole school network of 200 PCs all linked to the Internet via a 2 megabit leased line.
There is no brochure available for Stirling High School. Please contact the school direct for information.
