Scottish Housing Charter
What is the Scottish Housing Charter?
The Scottish Housing Charter sets the standards and outcomes that all social landlords should aim to achieve when performing their housing activities.
Before submitting the Charter for approval the Scottish Government completed a long consultation. Many of our tenants were involved in this process.
The Charter will help to improve the quality and value of services that social landlords provide for their tenants and other customers. It will do so in the following ways:
- By providing tenants and other customers with a clear statement of what they can expect from us with regard to the Housing service.
- By focussing our efforts on achieving the outcomes that most matter to our tenants and customers.
- By forming the basis of the way our Housing service is regulated by the independent Scottish Housing Regulator.
Our updated performance report to tenants is now published.
