Structure Plan

The Structure Plan provides the strategic land use planningMeeting photo

framework for jobs, homes, the environment, retailing and transport.

Since 2002, two alterations to the Plan have been approved. The first relates to renewable energy, the second to a strategic framework for forestry.

A Third Alteration commenced in March 2007, however at a meeting of the Council on 19th June 2008, Stirling Council agreed to abandon the Structure Plan Alteration. The Council will now be working towards production of a Stirling Local Development Plan, in line with the proposed Development Planning Regulations to be introduced by the Scottish Government in 2009.
