Purchasing dogs

Dogs which have not been claimed by their owners within 7 days become available for sale to the public. The price (including VAT) is presently £67.00.*

Dog purchase price includes:-

  • ·full veterinary examination
  • ·initial vaccination for:-
    • Distemper
    Infectious Canine Hepatitis
    Hepatitis
    Parvovirus
    Leptospirosis (Weil's Disease)

While all reasonable steps will be taken to ensure that dogs are free from any apparent illness, injury or disease at the time of sale, Stirling Council cannot be liable for any problems which may become apparent after the sale.

Familiarisation - in order to reduce stress for the dog and to be sure you are compatible, dogs will not be sold on the first visit. Normally at least 3 familiarisation visits on separate days are necessary.
