Records management

Information held in records is one of the Council's most important assets. We are currently preparing for the introduction of new legislation which will govern the way we manage records.

The Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011 will require Scottish public authorities to prepare a "Records Management Plan" which sets out arrangements for managing their records.

The National Records of Scotland has more information about the timescale for implementation of this legislation.
