Conditions of Service by Stirling Council
- ants are only treated if indoors or if entering house via outdoor colony
- we may be unable to treat if the affected area has not been cleaned as ants can be attracted by tiny quantities of food e.g. crumbs and spillages
- because of the nature, location and size of ant colonies, treatment may only provide short term relief and consequently, we are unable to guarantee the elimination of the infestation
Food Businesses
To avoid a possible conflict of interest with our Food Safety Officers, treatment for ants will not be undertaken at food businesses except for occasional problems with ants in food premises owned by this authority where the Animal Control Officer is satisfied that there has not been any contributory negligence.Where the Pest Control Officer finds evidence of contributory negligence in any food business he shall advise a Team Leader.
