General Information
- body lice are small, wingless external parasites
- they live on the body and in the clothing or bedding of infested humans
- body lice eggs are lain in the seams of clothing or on bedding.
Significance
- severe itching (and rashes) are common symptoms; both are the body's allergic reaction to the lice bite
- when laundering items, use the hot cycle
