Stirling Council do not charge for this service but responds in support in animal welfare and animal safety

Timescales

  • 5 days

Treatment

  • trapped birds are treated as priority if in a Council House
  • if the bird is blocking the chimney or fire, you will need a council gas fitter
  • if private and the bird is behind a gas fire, our advice is to call the gas supplier

Information

  • animal welfare concern, specifically the distress of being trapped
  • if the bird dies there may be infestation and smell
  • hazardous blocking of flues and chimneys

Stirling Council

  • will address all issues arising from this in relation with council property
  • for private properties we will require appropriate tradesmen i.e gas and builders. to allow us access to remove the bird where possible
