Building control - building regulations

You may need a building warrant if you are planning to:

  • build
  • alter
  • extend
  • convert or
  • demolish a building

Our main objective is to ensure that buildings are safe for the occupants and for the general public.

If you are having construction or refurbishment work done, you may need to notify the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and you may have other duties also.
