Development Plan
The Development Plan for Stirling comprises of two documents, Stirling Council Local Plan (1999) and also the Clackmannanshire and Stirling Structure Plan (2002). Both of these Plans have been subject to alterations as follows:-
Structure Plan
Structure Plan Alteration 1 - Renewable Energy (2004);
Structure Plan Alteration 2 - Indicative Forestry Strategy (2004).
Local Plan
Local Plan Alteration 1A - Stirling and the Rural Villages (2007);
Local Plan Alteration 1A - Mapping:
Local Plan Alteration 2 - Stirling's Major Growth Area (2006).
Collectively, all of these documents make up the existing Development Plan for Stirling Council.
Part of The Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is also covered by the Structure Plan. In December 2011 the Park adopted its own Local Plan.
In February 2009 we approved a new Housing in the Countryside policy, (H10A), which represents a significant change from the adopted Plan policies.
