Planning Appeals

If your application is refused or granted permission with conditions you consider to be unfair or too severe, you can appeal. This must be done within 3 months of the Council's decision.

Appeals against refusal of planning permission, conditions attached to a planning permission, or an enforcement notice are logged with the Scottish Ministers where the Inquiry Reporter's Unit considers the appeals. It makes most of the decisions, although the Scottish Ministers will make decisions in some major cases.
