Waste and recycling - commercial waste
Who needs commercial waste services?
All businesses have a statutory duty to dispose of their waste via a licensed waste carrier. This is defined as a Duty of Care wiithin Section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act (1990). This and other regulatory requirements are detailed under the Legal Duties section.
We provide waste collection services to commercial premises throughout the Stirling Council area for all types of businesses and organisations. We provide wheeled bins and sacks for producers of "mixed" waste who are unable to separate waste materials.
This mixed waste is then sent to a Material Reclamation Facility in Cumbernauld where the materials are separated into recyclables - further adding to Stirling Council's landfill diversion and ensuring as much of this mixed waste is recycled as possible.
