The birth of a child is a big event for all families and registering the birth of a child is very important. Following the birth, naming ceremonies provide a special non-religious event to celebrate this special family event. Support and advice for children and families
We have a range of services, support and advice for children and families, including advice for pregnant teenagers and education for children of traveller families, family support.
We provide support for children who are in, or have left Local Authority care and who to contact for emergency social work support outwith office hours.

Our Child Protection team work in partnership with parents and families to offer child protection and family support services for children who have been, or are at risk of emotional , physical or sexual abuse or neglect.
