Children and family care - support and advice
We offer a range of support and advice for children and family care.
Family support and community childcare
Our family support and community childcare team work closely with vulnerable families who have children under the age of 5.
Children in care
We provide support for children who are in care and continue to provide additional support after care. We also provide further support such as the supported lodging scheme which supports older teenagers and young adults who have been in Local Authority care since their 16th birthday and are seeking options to move on from care.
HIV/AIDS
We provide support and advice for anyone who has HIV or AIDS.
Teenage pregnancy
We work in partnership with health and other partner agencies to provide support for pregnant teenagers throughout their pregnancy.
Travelling people - education and support for children
A traveller child or young person is entitled to a school education - this is not affected by their family's mobility. Further information about how we can help provide education and support for your child.
Single shared assessment
We use a standardised assessment, called the single shared assessment, which allows us to share information with colleagues working for NHS Forth Valley, to streamline the assessment process.
Out of Hours social work
Incidents can occur at any time which may require social work involvement. Outwith office hours, during weekends, and during public holidays we provide emergency out of hours support.
