Care assessment
If you require community care, to identify what help or assistance you require and what services meet your needs, we will undertake a care assessment. The assessment may be undertaken by an Occupational Therapist.
Equipment or adaptations to home
If you are struggling with aspects of daily activities as a result of illness or disability, you may benefit from the provision of equipment or adaptations to your home.
Telecare (MECS)
Telecare provides a 24/7 monitoring, support and a means of summoning help and assistance if required. For further information about the range of services we can offer, please see Telecare
Disabled parking permits
The Blue badge scheme provides parking concessions for people with severe walking difficulties who travel either as drivers or passengers.
Disability facility grant
If you are an owner/occupier or private tenant with a disabled person living with you, you may be entitled to a disability facility grant.

Grants - home repairs for people over 60 - privately owned/rented
If you are a homeowner or live in privately rented accommodation, are over 60 years of age and require house repairs or minor adaptations to your home, the home repair assistance grant may assist you.
Additional support needs for children
Some children may require additional support at school due to their mental or physical abilities. We can help assess the child’s needs, provide a co-ordinated support plan, provide information about placement in mainstream schools and information about school transport.
