Health and medical information
Here is a useful website for healthy snacks for kids, and great activity ideas for indoors and outdoors.
You'll find loads of handy tips on healthy living to help you and your kids to improve diet and level of physical activity. Just 60 minutes of physical activity each day can help your children become happier, healthier adults. And to make life easy - as well as healthy - you can break it down into 10 or 15 minutes here and there through the day.
Heathcare providers
We aim to help everyone to have healthy, active lives, maximising your independence. At times, you may have to access Healthcare providers for information, advice or treatment. To find your nearest hospital, general practitioner, pharmacy or health centre, please see Healthcare providers for further information.
Needing support after being in hospital?
If you have been in hospital, you may need additional support or assistance to be put in place before returning home. We can give information about restarting existing care or how to access more support on leaving hospital. If you need extra help, we can provide services to support you at home.
Residential and nursing homes
We encourage people to be as independent as possible within their own homes, through a range of care at home services. If it is not possible to remain within your own home, you may consider a residential or nursing home. There are numerous residential and nursing homes within the Stirling Council area.
Substance misuse - support and advice
Substance misuse can have a devastating impact on an individual's health, their financial and social circumstances and affect their family, friends and the wider community. If someone is seeking to end their addiction of alcohol, drugs or smoking, there are a number of groups who can offer advice and support to help them quit. Many groups can also provide support and advice for families who are concerned or affected by the impact of substance abuse.
Vaccinations
If you need a vaccination, we can advise on who to contact to arrange an appointment.
