Accident Reporting
If you are an employer, self-employed or in control of work premises, you are required to report serious workplace accidents, occupational diseases and specified dangerous occurrences. Find out what you must report and how to report an accident at work.
Regulation and inspection
Our Health and Safety team ensure that the Health and Safety at Work Etc Act 1974 and associated regulations are known and followed by employers and their employees. Find out more about the Health and Safety Executive and Health and Safety legislation
Our Environmental Health team enforce Health and Safety legislation in non-manufacturing premises, such as offices, shops, warehouses and service industries.
The Health and Safety Executive is responsible for enforcing Health and Safety legislation in factories, workshops and construction sites.
