Care - shopping service

The shopping service is changing.  The shopping service previously provided by Stirling Council will now be provided by the award-winning Scottish charity The Food Train.

The Food Train assists older people who are unable to get to the shops for their grocery shopping.  They provide a template as a blank shopping list, which is completed by the Service User.  A Food Train volunteer collects the list;the groceries are bought, delivered to the customer and paid for.  There is a £3 delivery charge.

The Food Train is working in partnership with Stirling Council.  Existing users of our shopping service will be given priority as The Food Train gets underway.
