Allan lodge

Allan Lodge is one of four residential care homes operated by Stirling Council.  It is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood in the heart of Bridge of Allan.

Allan Lodge aims to provide a friendly, homely environment where people feel safe, secure and valued. We provide care for older people who require varying levels of support including personal and social care, dementia care, end of life and palliative care.

Our support staff are also trained and qualified in:

  • moving and handling
  • advice and assistance with nutrition
  • advice and assistance with continence management
  • medication management

We ensure that our staff respond to the needs and wishes of those who choose to spend time at Allan Lodge and are encouraged to participate in all decisions about the support services provided depending on individual needs.

Long term care service

We provide a long term care service for residents and aim to provide a friendly, homely environment where individuals feel safe, secure and valued. The right to privacy, choice and confidentiality is considered essential for residents.  Our experienced staff will offer support to all aspects of daily living with every effort made to respond to the needs and wishes of our residents.

Short break service

At Allan Lodge, we can also provide accommodation and support services on a respite basis, providing all necessary support required during an individual's stay.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation aims to assist individuals to remain in their own home or support their discharge home so that they can remain there with confidence and as much independence as possible.

Intermediate care services

Intermediate Care within a Care home may be provided for individuals who may otherwise be eligible for Rapid Response services but require a greater degree of support and supervision. 

Accommodation

Allan Lodge is purpose built care home set within extensive gardens, providing accommodation for up to 25 older people. The accommodation is designed to meet the needs of older people, including those who have varying degrees of dementia and complex needs.

Allan Lodge has four bright, well-furnished lounges with comfortable seating areas, each containing a small dining room. Each lounge is equipped with a television, visual and audio facilities. Additionally, there is also a considerably larger lounge, which is used for various activities and entertainment purposes, including a large screen television and also a Wii, which has been popular with residents in maintaining health and fitness. All bedrooms are single and have en-suite facilities, some with showers.

Allan Lodge offers various on-going activities. Popular activities include a gardening group who take care and pride in growing from seed, nurturing and maintaining plant arrangements within the grounds of Allan Lodge. One of our sensory gardens also contains a model railway, which is a popular feature for both residents and visitors. Our staff are always happy to arrange accompanied outings for a small group of residents.
