Respite care - Strathendrick

Strathendrick is our respite care home for frail older people, located in the village of Balfron.  Find out more about respite care.

Staying with us

Strathendrick is a purpose built care home, providing accommodation for up to 12 people.  The accommodation is designed to meet the needs of older people.   We encourage those who choose to spend time with us to participate in all decisions about the support services provided, depending on their particular needs.

All bedrooms are single and have en-suite facilities, some with showers.  There are two bright and well-furnished lounge and dining areas, a garden room and a newly refurbished treatment and therapy room.  The lounges are equipped with televisions, video and audio equipment.

Strathendrick has views across the Campsie hills and offers a rural and community based home.  The garden grounds are attractively planted and accessible and encourage individuals to relax and enjoy the outside space and views.

A referral is required for respite care.  Referrals can be made by contacting us for a care assessment or by contacting your General Practitioner.

Contributing to your care

Respite care is a chargeable service.   If you are over 65 years of age, you are entitled to free personal care.   You can find out more about how much you may be required to contribute to your care.
