Guildry - Deans Dinner

The Dean's Dinner 2011

A large number of Guild Brethren and Guests attended the Annual Dean's Dinner within the Park Lodge Hotel Stirling.

After the words of welcome by the Dean Paul G Miller, he introduced his Top Table to the assembled body.

An apposite Grace was then given by Rev. Ian Paterson Interim Moderator Allan Park Church.

After a very satisfactory meal prepared by George Marquetty and his staff, the Dean proposed the Toast to the Queen.

The Toast to the "Guildry of Stirling" was ably given by Mr. Ian Mullen OBE DL Chairman NHS Forth Valley Health Board, after he provided an insight into the Health Service within the Forth Valley finishing up with information on the creation of the new Royal Forth Valley Hospital at Larbert.

An excellent Toast to the Benefactors both past and present, was given by the Provost of Stirling, Councillor Fergus Wood.

The Dean proposed a Toast to the "Prosecution Service" and introduced The Rt. Hon. Elish Angiolini QC Lord Advocate, who gave an insightful speech about her life in the Legal Profession and as Lord Advocate. She finished off by proposing a Toast to the "City of Stirling"

Guild Brother Neil F Mclean performed the "Vote of Thanks"
