Guildry - Dean's Robe
Dean's Robes
The former robe had been in constant use for over a hundred years and the Dean’s Council recommended to the Guildry Members that a new robe be commissioned. This was unanimously agreed at the Winter Court on 1st December 2004.
At the Spring Court on Wednesday 30th March 2005 the Guildry Officer, Norman Black ceremoniously unrobed the then Dean Alan Webb, who was then presented with the new Robes of Office by the Guildry Clerk, Graham Cunningham.
The historical old robe and replica ring together with other Guildry and Civic Memorabilia have been placed on public display in the Smith Art Gallery and Museum in Stirling.
