What you need - fishing permit
All agencies issue both day and season permits.
- Two passport sized photographs are required for both resident and visitor season permits.
- Two proofs of address for resident permits and one proof of address for visitor permits, both will be required to be supported by photographic evidence eg driving licence or passport
- A completed application form, with documentary proof, will be required for all concession permits.
- Proof of address is also required for Day Permits.
Blank application forms for concession permits can be obtained from Customer First Building 1 - 5 Port Street, Stirling.
- The person using the permit must be present for both verification and for the permit to be issued.
- There will be no refunds once a permit has been issued.
- Only one season permit is allowed for each river. A Roving Permit can be purchased to allow fishing on both rivers.
- There is a limit of five salmon for Season Permits.
- There is also a catch limit of 1 sea trout per day for River Forth permits. Salmon have to be tagged before they can be taken off the fishery. There is a catch limit of 5 sea trout per season for the River Teith, any sea trout taken have to be tagged. There is a limit of 5 salmon per season on both the Forth and Teith rivers.
- Tags will be issued with season permits and are not transferable.
- Lost or stolen permits can be replaced at a cost of £10 per adult and £2 per juvenile.
Please Note - All concessionary permits can only be issued at Customer First Building 1 - 5 Port Street, Stirling. Stirling Council supports conservation of salmon and sea trout and it will be mandatory to return all fish caught prior to 1st June.
