Transport and streets

The road network we look after in the Stirling area covers over 1000kms.

 We are responsible for maintaining the following:-

• all adopted roads and footways
• all adopted bridges and structures  
• road drainage
• street lighting
• winter maintenance
• co-ordinating all activities on the road network (including undertakings carried out by the public utilities)

Winter Maintenance

We help to provide a winter maintenance service of local roads.

Snow clearing and gritting is organised by the Council's roads maintenance service.
