Parking - fines, clamping and removal

We do not clamp or remove vehicles, however, if you receive a parking fine, please do not ignore it.

Parking fines are issued in two forms in Stirling

On-street parking fines

These are issued by the Community Traffic Wardens (Central Scotland Police).  Should you require any further information or wish to query a parking fine received on-street, please write to Central Scotland Police at Police Headquarters, Randolphfield, Stirling.

Off-street parking fines

These are issued by the Parking Enforcement Officers who work for the local authority.  Off-Street parking fines are issued for a variety of reasons with the details of the alleged contravention clearly stated on the parking fine.

Details of how to pay for your excess charge notice are given on the rear of the ticket.

If an excess charge notice remains unpaid after 21 days a time penalty of £18 is applied.

Appealing against an off-street parking fine (Excess Charge Notice)

The Parking Fine shows the alleged contravention, together with the place, time and date that it occurred.  If you wish to appeal against the issuing of this fine, you can make a written appeal to the Council, within 21 days, to the address on the rear of the Excess Charge Notice.

Stirling Council has a clear policy for dealing with appeals against excess charge notices.

All appeals are investigated and the appellant will be informed in writing at all stages of this process.
