Disabled people - personal transport - motability scheme

The Motability Scheme, which is run by independent charity Motability, enables disabled people to lease a new:

  • Car

or

  • Powered wheelchair or scooter

How does it work?

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to their exchange either your:

  • Higher Rate Mobility component of their Disability Living Allowance

or

  • War Pensioners' Mobility supplement

 

In return, the Scheme provides a mobility package which includes:

  • personal transport (car, powered wheelchair or scooter)
  • insurance
  • servicing
  • tyres
  • breakdown coverage
