Public toilets

We maintain and operate 17 public toilets within the Council area 7 days per week.

Facilities Management Services have 10 staff who service 14 facilities. In 3 busier locations facilities are attended by Village Officers from Land Services. Some urban facilities are cleaned and serviced at regular intervals throughout each day by a mobile attendant.

Most public conveniences have access for people with a disability. Three are fitted with Radar locks to allow access to key-holders out with opening hours. In some areas a Comfort Partnership has been set up within the local community. This is a formal arrangement between the Council and a local business that has agreed to let members of the public use its facilities.

Please note that some public conveniences in remote locations are closed during winter months.
