Town centres - crime prevention

Safer Cities Initiative logoSafer City Initiative

The Stirling Safer City Centre Initiative has been established to focus on crime reduction and prevention within both the daytime and evening economies.

An Action Plan has been devised to deliver the objectives of the Initiative. Working closely with the local business community and partners of the initiative, a broad range of measures and projects have been introduced to:

  • Directly address crime, anti-social behaviour, fear of crime and environmental issues.
  • Develop and promote city centre safety
  • Reduce the cost of business crime.

Safer Cities Business Survey – 2009 survey results.
The Safer Cities Business survey gives retailers a unique opportunity to give their views on retail crime and safety issues affecting Stirling City Centre.  The results set out the issues that are the greatest cause of concern and also what action has and will be taken to address these issues.
