Cycle Maps

We have produced a cycle map for the area covering:

  • City of Stirling
  • Bridge of Allan
  • Cambusbarron
  • Bannockburn

This is to try to encourage more people out onto their bikes.

The map highlights suggested routes for cyclists, wherever possible making use of cycle lanes and tracks. Travelling by bike is a great way to get around the city and surrounding area, and is often quicker than travelling by car.

You can download your copy of the map or copies are available in various locations including:

  • the local bike shops
  • libraries
  • Stirling Council HQ (Viewforth)
  • One Stop Shop

Other useful cycle maps for the Stirling area include:

Stirling University's 'Get active getting there' maps includes a map of the campus and a map showing routes between Stirling city centre and the University.

National Cycle Network

The National Cycle Network (NCN) covers the whole of the country and was developed by Sustrans. It provides a network of recognised and well signed routes that you can use for leisure or commuting. These routes are often off road or on quiet back roads.

We have a number of signed NCN routes in the Stirling Council area.

NCN 76 - Round the Forth - a 76 mile circular  linking Stirling to Edinburgh

NCN 7 -Sunderland to Inverness taking in Aberfoyle, Callander, Glen Ogle and Killin
