Community engagement and local community plans

Stirling has been at the forefront of locally based community planning in Scotland and has given communities the opportunity to prepare their own local community plans.  Currently around 29 out of 41 community council areas have taken this opportunity.

The Partnership helps to arrange local community plans with partner agencies with the aim of making sure this community input:

  • Is fed back into the planning of all partner service delivery
  • Results in better more integrated local service delivery
  • Provides opportunity, where requested, for communities to take control over their own collective community affairs.
