Welcome to the Tolbooth, Stirling's venue for live music.

April to June Brochure

This season brings the Tolbooth into its seventh year, seven years of great music and wonderful events and we’re not slowing down!

The art of song is celebrated in April with a series from very different practitioners. Dick Gaughan starts things off with his rousing renditions of traditional and contemporary songs. Now in his 60th year, he is still as engaged politically and emotionally. Lloyd Cole, Karine Polwart and Clive Gregson continue to explore the troubadour’s art throughout the month.

May is jammed packed with surprises, not least our yearly foray into the undergrowth of music that is the Le Weekend festival. This year’s festival sees an exciting new commission by David Fennessy for organ and percussion being performed in the Church of the Holy Rude. Whatever stirs the musical soul, the Tolbooth has always something new for you to try. In June why not bring the family along to savour the sacred sounds of Tibet from the monks of the Tashi Lhunpo monastery.

We offer a wide variety of top quality classes for both children and adults, to find out more click here
