Now retired, Robert Douglas worked as a prison officer and an electricity chargehand. He grew up in Glasgow as a child, and has lived in Northumberland for many years. He is the author of Night Song Of The Last Tram – A Glasgow Childhood, Somewhere To Lay My Head and most recently, At Her Majesty’s Pleasure, which completes his autobiographical trilogy.
