This three piece from Preston, Lancashire (via New Orleans) brings the music and passion of The Big Easy to the Tolbooth for an evening of swing, boogie-woogie, jive and gospel.
Tipitina borrowed their name from the title of a piece by the late Professor Longhair and the band draw huge inspiration from the Prof and his students, including Fats Domino and Dr John.
Tipitina have a wonderful sound and their superb vocalist, Debbie Jones has a rich soulful voice well suited to their own material and standards such as Dream A Little Dream Of Me.
