Aims

The aim of Heroes Welcome is to

  • give a warm welcome and acknowledgement to members of the Armed Forces who do a difficult job in sometimes dangerous circumstances;
  • introduce a flexible discount scheme for service personnel visiting Stirling, to show they are welcome and supported.

How it Works

This initiative was originally launched in Scarborough in April 2008 and is now going nationwide.Heroes Welcome has the support of HRH The Prince of Wales , Chief of General Staff General Sir Richard Dannatt, and the Minister for the Armed Forces.

Where displayed, the Heroes Welcome logo shows support by a business or service provider for Armed Forces personnel and may indicate a discount, service upgrade or other special acknowledgement as appropriate - e.g. complimentary drink.

Appropriate ID will be required to qualify for individual offers.  Businesses taking part in the initiative can identify service personnel as they carry official ID in the form of an MOD 90.  Should a business wish to include veterans in their offer, they will usually carry a regimental association card or British Legion membership.

All offers are made in good faith by participating businesses and may be subject to change without notice.

Displaying a Heroes Welcome sticker is a show of support and not a guarantee of discount.
